The Compulsive Reader
"With this super-hero type storyline, there is a story within a story. Abigail has feelings for another animagus, Fang, that formally she was investigating in an undercover operation. Abigail does not know how to handle those feelings and then the complication of her best friend and partner, Daymeon, has growing feelings for her. So you have the whole “star-crossed” love story, complete with tragedy as well as selfless acts..."
"...Although I admit the book felt a little slow-going at first, once the story picks up it really zooms. You absolutely cannot put it down. The Author may be young but talent knows no age boundaries. I look forward to more after reading this first book..."

After reading the Prologue you're thrown into the world of teenage crime-fighting, a genre that is entertaining to read for all generations. But, not only are these teenagers crime-fighters, but they're Animagi - people that can transform into animals!
I'm on my third read-through of this book and still can't seem to put it down!

"This is apparently the first adventure in a series about Abigail, Daymeon and the World Wide Animagi Agency, and is absolutely packed with action from start to end. Abigail works undercover for the W.W.A.A. and manages to juggle saving the world from the evil Dr Amex's ruthless plans with school, falling in love and helping her younger siblings learn about their Animagus abilities. (An Animagus is someone who can change into an animal).
I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and look forward very much to the next in the series."

This thrilling adventure has shape-shifting teenage secret agents battling to save their own kind and us ('normal' humans) from an evil, power-hungry super-villain (Dr. Amex) - somewhat in the mould of the old-style James Bond "world domination" bad guys. Our heroine - Abigail - encounters more perils than Penelope Pitstop but this is no shrinking violet! She is a feisty, passionate girl who, with the help of other Animagi (people who can morph into animals) struggles to deal with traitors within the World Wide Animagus Agency (W.W.A.A.), unnatural, evil-inspired environmental disasters and murderous plots a-plenty while trying to protect her family and friends and grow up herself.
There is a good smattering of genuine horror in this story counter-pointed nicely by some "teenage angst" as Abigail has to choose between love and loyalty when she is not even sure of the difference. As a result, identifying with the characters is easy and they have a depth not always found in teenage fiction.
A fabulous first novel and I look forward eagerly to more!

This is a brilliant book. It had me hooked from Page 1 and I just had to keep reading to find out what happend. The author has a brilliant writing style and the characters become very real as you read on. I look forward to more books from this new exciting author and the further episodes of Abigail and her Animagi friends as I am left eager to read more.
